Update

I just realized that it's been almost a month since my last blog post. Life has been busy and we've been rolling along here. Most of my focus has been on kiddie stuff so there hasn't been too much in the way of dog news around here. The shows have wound down for the year for the most part and while this is perfect tracking weather now (scent holds beautifully in this damp west coast season) I haven't quite made it out into the field yet. I do want to though. Pelly showed a real affinity for it when we trained together before. I also want to get the GSP's back on birds as they love it so and it's so exhilarating seeing them do what they were bred to do.

I have a couple of updated pictures to share. You may have seen them already as I did post them to the Braebrook Facebook page, but I'm just so pleased with how my young girls are coming along that I wanted to share here as well.

This is Ryan (Braebrook's Revolution) who is sired by BISS Am Ch Gallant's First and Foremost v Ciden WAC and out of Ch Modadobe Sunset Dreaming. She is 17 months now and has held together really well through her puppy stages and is looking like she is going to be a stunning adult. She has almost completed her championship and I'm excited to get her back in the ring for those last couple of points.

This is Dusty (Braebrook's Varekai) who is sired by Am Ch Backbone Harrison Ford and out of Braebrook's Pellegrino Marsala CGN. She is coming up to nine months now and has yet to start her show career. She has lots of potential but isn't quite ready to start yet. In the meantime she is just growing up and enjoying being a puppy.

There is so much to do around here even in the "off" season. Beyond regular dog care each day (which gets to be a lot more work once the rain and mud sets in) there is still regular training as well as breeding plans to set in motion. I love working on and planning breedings when it's pouring rain outside. I don't feel guilty spending my time pouring over magazines, and endlessly researching online.

I hope you are enjoying your pups and staying relatively dry. If you haven't sent me a picture in awhile I'd love to see some updates! :)

  1. Mariah - they are both beautiful and we are hoping Ryan will finish her championship early in 2016 - perhaps in Duncan! We can't tell Ryan and Khaleesi apart when looking at pictures of them stacking. Also, who is the Verakai player in the family (I see it's some type of video game)? Errol

  2. Hi Errol!
Verakai is actually a Cirque Du Soleil show and that was the theme of the litter (Allie is Allegria, Q is Quidam etc..). I think Ryan will finish quickly, she's beautiful!
