Available for sale

Braebrook's Walk the Line "Johnny" is a 14 and a half month old male. He is sired by BISS Ch Holmrun's Play for Keeps "Mick" and out of Ch Braebrooks Coco Chanel Holmrun "Coco". He was shown two weekends as a puppy and collected seven points towards his championship as well as two best puppy in group wins. He is vWD clear and Dr Meurs cardio DNA test negative by parentage. He has a sweet and easy to live with personality and is good with cats and other dogs.
We would like Johnny to go to a home where he will be shown to obtain the last three points towards his championship, but most important is that he be a much loved companion.

A great debut for Braebrook's Mission Impossible

Braebrook's Mission Impossible "Tommy" made his show ring debut at the Alberni Valley Kennel club this weekend and what a debut it was! He picked up a third in the adult group and best puppy in group under judge Mark Houston-McMillan and went on to best puppy in show under judge Sharon Derrick:

We were only able to show two days but he managed to pick up four points towards his championship and we are already looking forward to his next weekend.
Tommy is owned and loved by Larry, Sarah and Zack and is from the litter sired by Ch Braebrook's Remy Martin and out of Am/Can Ch United's First Edition.

Some picture updates

I have to start this post off by saying how very much I love getting pictures of the "kids" from all their wonderful owners. You folks who are providing such loving homes for my babies are the reason I love what I do. Every email telling me how much you love the Doberman breed and your Braebrook Doberman in particular makes my day. Please keep them coming and please send lots of pictures, you can never send too many! :)

The lovely Braebrook's Mission Impossible "Tommy" from the Remy x Safi litter is now nine and a half months and will be making his show ring debut in a couple of weeks. He is staying with us for a few days while his owners are out of town so it was the perfect time for a quick photo shoot. Isn't he growing up handsome?

And then I have to share a few pictures of some lucky Braebrook kids with their new purchases:

This is Ch Braebrooks Coco Chanel Holmrun "Coco" on the left from the Dirk x London litter and her son Braebrook's Going to Jackson "Soter" from the Mick litter sporting their snazzy new rain coats. They look so smart and well prepared for any inclement weather.

This is Braebrook's The Man in Black "Owen" from the Mick x Coco litter trying out his new bed. It looks so comfy I want to snuggle up in there with him! Owen is working hard at becoming a tracking dog and in the meantime he is the apple of owner Laura's eye. ;)

And this is multi BPIG winner Braebrook's Walk the Line "Johnny" from the Mick x Coco litter, also enjoying a new bed. Johnny needs just three more points to complete his championship.

I also received news from Nancy who owns Braebrook's Courvoisier "Cooper" from the Freddy x Coco litter and he has picked up another point towards his championship and is also becoming quite the tracking star. She is hoping to have him ready to trial in November. I'm so proud!

And last but not least I have to include this video of Ch Braebrook's Black Russian "Rush" from the Rogan x Safi litter "singing", it's too cute!

Please feel free to send any pictures of your Braebrook Doberman as I would love to include them here, and I love getting all the wonderful updates.

New collars

Had to share some pictures of the ladies sporting their new collars from Addison Logan. Aren't they lovely? They make custom collars in about as many designs as you can think of and they are easily adjustable and well made. I love them. I see the link to their website says they are remodeling and will be back in October with their new holiday line etc so be sure to check them out. In the meantime you can find them and a ton of pictures on Facebook.

Aren't they sweet?

Look at Lexi's face, she looks so happy to have to sit for her picture..lol.

Will be posting upcoming litter news soon, so stay tuned!

Thakoon

Happy to report that Braebrook's Thakoon Holmrun "Thakoon" earned two more points towards his Canadian championship putting him halfway there. Thakoon is from the Dirk x London litter and is four years old. He has only been to a handful of shows with his novice owner/handler and they are making it happen!

Doberman Pinscher Club of Canada National Specialty 2012

It was a bit of a last minute decision but I decided that I really really wanted to be at the National this year in Calgary. They had a really good sized entry of dogs and it was the Centennial year so definitely a good one to be at. I am so happy I decided to go as I ended up handling Ch Braebrook's Hennessy "Bravo" to 1st award of merit, which is like a runner up to best of breed. In an entry as big as this one was it was a very nice win. Bravo lives with and is owned by Wendy who lives just outside of Calgary and is co owned by myself so we were both thrilled when the judge pointed our way.
The National was held in conjunction with the Alberta Kennel Club's all breed show and between the AKC shows and the specialties there were four days of shows. All these shows were held at the beautiful Spruce Meadows show grounds, a world renowned site for horse show jumping. I have seen the site many times on TV and it is just as beautiful in person. The horse jumps were set up all around the dog show rings and I recognized many of them from watching TV. I think what amazed me the most was how big they are, those are some seriously high fences!

I was only able to go the one day of the weekend so Bravo was handled by other people on the days I couldn't be there. This first pic and one of my favourites  is with Karen Lejeune.

This pic is also another one that I really like and here he is handled by Katherine Stead. Katherine bred her bitch to Bravo last year and from that breeding came Boland's Coup de Foudre Holmrun "Coup" who is almost finished his championship and also passed his Canine Good Neighbour test over the weekend.

This is a pic of Bravo and I.

Another pic of us taking a break ringside. :)

Another pic taken from the front of Bravo with Katherine.

Ch Braebrook's Black Russian "Rush" also made the trek to the National and over the weekend had a best of winners win as well as another winners dog win to finish his championship in a big way at only just barely a year old. This is me stacking him up quickly while we were walking around the grounds. Rush is owned by Bryan, Sharon and Kaleb and now that he is finished his championship is off to train in obedience. He is keen to work so I think he will do well.

I was also so happy to see Braebrook's Walk the Line "Johnny" while I was out for my visit and in fact I stayed with his owner Kayla while I was there. Johnny has been shown very limitedly and has two best puppy in group wins and is almost finished his championship.

It was so nice to have these three boys at the National carrying the Braebrook banner. Thank you so much to their wonderful owners for doing such a great job with them, you make me proud! :)
